it's a pattern I bought from a seller on Etsy - it's for a hat. I don't want to post the whole pattern cause I don't want someone telling me I am giving their pattern away. I e-mailed the seller a few times for an explanation to no avail . It's the golf hat pattern by InnerHooker on Etsy (I apologize if this person is on Crochetville - I am just trying to figure out how to make this hat!!) http://www.etsy.com/listing/71429303/grandpa-bruces-newsboy-driving-cap?ref=sr_list_1&ga_search_query=golf+hat+pattern&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade

I am not a novice crocheter, but I don't understand this....I think I am reading it wrong and need another set of eyes to help me! I am probably gonna realize what an idiot I am once someone else explains it, but i just don't get it, lol. I get to round 2 and stop because I don't understand round 3. I only get 21 stitches or something instead of 30. Ch 2, work will begin in first chain Round 1: ch 1, 9 sc in ring; join with sl st in first sc {9 sc} Round 2: ch 3 (counts as dc from here forward), dc in joining space, (2dc in each sc) join with sl st {20 dc} you will work in the spaces before and after fpdc Round 3: ch 3, dc in joining space, dc, fpdc, (dc, dc, fpdc) {30 st}

Thanks for all the replies! I am gonna try that one pattern and see how it turns out...I still haven't found a pattern that turns out the way I want it to - so frustrating....I mean, it's just a flower, right? LOL

Thanks - I'll try that!

I am looking for a pattern for a flower...I know what I want the flower to look like but I can't find a pattern anywhere and everytime I try to make one I can't seem to get it right. I have tried to attatch a picture of a flower I like that is basically what I am after. I think that is starts with a magic circle and then has maybe one row of stitches and then a layer of petals with a second row of petals behind it. I want the flower to be big - like 3-4" with 5 or 6 petals. I was thinking maybe the petals are working in the front loops, and then the back petals in the back loops? I know this one: http://www.action-hero.net/blog/2004/09/crocheted-flower-pattern.html but it's not what I want - I want a solid center. I have seen the flowers I want on Etsy, but not a pattern (just sellers with the same flower). Any help is appreciated!!!

Can someone tell me the appropriate height for a 6-12 month baby hat??
-
I got it to work - I don't know why it wouldn't work earlier. I am even more confused now though. My newborn size always works out to 5.5" length and 12" circumference but they are too big??? Ugh!! Is there anyone out there that makes newborn hats smaller than this? For those of you who use these measurements (or very close) are they fitting newborns for you?

The link doesn't work for me. :-(

I need help with my hat sizing. For newborns I am doing approx 12" circumference and 5.5" high and they are too big. Can someone help me?? Maybe someone can share their measurements for 0-12 months?? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!!

Does anyone have a pattern for an infant hammock? Thanks!

It is a tassel...or similar....I am making one of the "pig tail" hats that have the braids on either side and I cannot get the pom poms to attatch to the ends of the braids and look right. I am using 2 different colors to so it is makng it harder. It just doesn't look right to me.

How in the heck do I get pom poms to attatch to the end of a tassel on a hat?? The way I am doing it just doesn't look right. Help me please!!
