  1. I just saw a K-Mart commercial for Christmas. Guess it is that time of year! Has anyone started working on The Christmas Pageant?
  2. When you find time to work on it, if you have any questions, just let me know.
  3. My newest design, The Christmas Pageant, became available today! http://www.anniescatalog.com/detail.html?prod_id=103080 Reenact the birth of Jesus with your very own theatrical production! Crochet Pattern includes directions for all Costumes (fit 5” Lots of Love Dolls), Costume for Baby Jesus (fit baby in Barbie Baby Sitter), Theater Stage, Flats, Grassy Field, Platforms, Buildings, Props, Curtains & Sign so that you can create your own play. Costumes included are: Mary Joseph Baby Jesus Little Boy Jesus Shepherd Shepherd Boy Speaking Angel Baby Choir Angel with Harp Baby Choir Angel with Xylophone White Sheep Black Sheep Donkey Camel Star Magi with Frankincense Magi with Myrrh Magi with Gold Inn Keeper The theater production was fun to create. I loved working with the little dolls.
  4. Very pretty. I'm so glad you were pleased with my design.
  5. I don't have a video. Just make a ch. Look at the ch, each ch has a front lp and a back lp just like a sc st does. sl st in the lp the directions tell you to. If knitting insert the hook from the front to the back, if purling insert the hook from the back to the front. On the next row, look at the sts you just made. They also have a front lp and a back lp. Work your sts in whichever lp the directions say. I'm not saying this is your trouble, but most of the questions I receive are because people don't realize that a sl st has a front and a back lp. If this isn't the trouble you are having, let me know where you are having trouble and I will try to help.
  6. Apparently it has been taken off the download format. If this is the only way you want to purchase it, let me know and I will ask them about it. I didn't know it had been taken off the download.
  7. No need to apologize. I liked your ginormous description Do you have a sorce for thread patterns? I have a few Magic Crochet and Decorative Crochet, but not many. I always enjoyed both.
  8. Granny Square gave the best advice, although I don't recall using the words, "ginormous hook" She is right, work a simple chain then begin by working swatch one. You can always go back to the cast on/bind off later if you want to play with it.
  9. I haven't seen the actual book. Just curious, which number square am I??? Bendy
  10. Thank you everyone. I hope all of you enjoy the book. Diana, when a designer does a book they generally receive the crocheted models back. After awhile the pile becomes rather large So I generally give the items away or donate them to auctions for fund raisers. In this case, my plan was to give the rose afghan to my husband's secretary as a thank you gift for feeding all our babies (2 cats, 1 dog) while we were out of town. Her last name begins with "B"
  11. Thank you! It was a fun book to create
  12. Thank you! Glad you like the Charted Picture Afghans book I agree with you, I don't enjoy using 5 or 6 different colors at the same time either. I have tried rolling the different colors up and pinning them as suggested, but mine always get tangled anyway In the Charted Picture Afghans book the designs just use one color and as a result I found the afghans very relaxing to crochet. I hope you do too
  13. Wanted to let everyone know my new book is out, Charted Picture Afghans. http://www.anniesattic.com/detail.html?prod_id=84890 I had a lot of fun creating this book. I enjoyed drawing the different pictures such as the elephant. But my favorite part was the simplicity of crocheting afghans that used only single crochet and double crochet stitches. I hope everyone enjoys the book. If you have any questions, just let me know
  14. I've tried it If one knows how to single crochet and how to double crochet it is very simple. One does have to follow a chart to know when they are supposed to work a single crochet and when they are supposed to work a double crochet. Hope you enjoy it!!!
