  1. I am Patricia Huff, I am a born again Christian and married to Gary for 46 years now. We have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren that live very far away from us. We live in Kernersville NC. We spent 21 years in The Air Force and are now Retired . Gary also spent another 20 years in a civilian job and retired from that too. I have a cute papillion puppy girl, Kyleigh that is my service dog as well. She is 12 yrs old and my little shadow. Love her to pieces! I also have a white cockatiel that talks way to much! lol, He is hilarious! He's my buddy. His cage is right beside my desk! I have MS and a spinal cord Injury and paraneoplastic syndrome. I have to use an electric wheelchair, named miss scarlet o'scooter , to get around. I can stand and take a few steps, but walking is not in the picture. Paraneoplastic syndrome is an auto-immune disease where the immune system kills your bad cells, like cancer and also kills the good cells in your body. It's your immune system turning on you and slowly destroying your body. I also have FibroMyaliga . So I have a lot of pain and other symptoms I deal with daily and take a lot of different meds and injections. Because of this Paraneoplastic Syndrome I am not supposed to go around large groups of people , especially in flu season. A simple cold can take my life. Diseases that most people can fight off , I can't. So I have had to stop shopping or going to Church, which I loved to do. I don't go visit hospitals anymore or to theaters . During the summer months I go once in a while to a small store if it is not busy , but not often. I do most of my shopping Online and my husband does all of the grocery shopping. He is a wonderful man of God and helps me with the home chores and laundry and cooking. There are days I just cannot do it and he is wonderful! I love to read and study Bible Prophecy, cook and bake , read, crochet, knit, color, make handmade cards, sew, make jewelry, collect sea shells, collect miniature teasets, drink hot tea, and best of all collect Reborn dolls and dress them and love them! Oh and I never met a cookie I didn't like! lol I try my best to serve my Lord Jesus Christ everyday. He is my Savior and my best friend. If you ever need prayer, just ask for it and I will pray for you . Love Patricia
  2. I'm in Kernersville, just on the other side of Greensboro. I used to live in Burlington.
  3. I’m crocheting my first pair of socks and it’s from the book Crocheted Socks by Janet Rehfeldt and Mary Jane Wood. The pattern Easy Does It is the one I’m doing. I’m stuck on the gusset. I’ve got the flap and the heel turn done . I did the first part of round one of the gusset but can’t figure out where the nine sc go at the end of round one. then round two and three are a complete mystery to me. Help. I’ve been reading everywhere and asking and even gotten other directions and they are confusing me. I think I’m going to need pictures of this . I’ve never crocheted a sock. When someone says end of flap or side of flap I have NO IDEA which is which.
  4. I'm Patricia, I have MS and a spinal cord injury and I live in a wheelchair most of the time, but I can do most anything I want to do and I love life and I am a Christian . I'm married to my love, Gary for 38 years and we have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren and we are the slaves of a hypersonic papillion puppy girl , Kyleigh . She is one spoiled little luvbug. ! We also have a darling little boy Papillion named Yanni. We got him in May of 2008. He is just a sweetheart and Kyleigh just adores him. He is our baby boy and so funny! That boy does nothing but Jump straight up and down! He is a blast! We are laughing our heads off at these too comics and they have brought so much joy into our lives! I love to knit and crochet, read, sew, feed the birds and squirrels and anything else that happens to wander into my back yard, container garden and crafting . I collect miniature teasets and miniature teapots when I can find them and I love cats , but I can't have them in the house. I hate to watch TV, so I spend a lot of time on the computer doing graphics , making my own signatures and photography. I also make my own handmade greeting cards and I have a homebound card ministry. This is a lovely board . It's nice to meet you all and I can see, by looking through the posts that I'm going to be quite comfy here. I've recently been DX with cancer and am undergoing a lot of medical tests and treatment, but I will be coming back as much as I can.
