  1. Hi all - hope you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday.  My DS and DIL came up for Thanksgiving, spent Wednesday night to Friday morning with us and then he went to his dad's family dinner and they have now gone home.  Both DDs and GSs were here too.  It's been a great holiday for us.  Only down side is DH had to work the last 2 Saturdays to get Thanksgiving and the day after off.  He will do that again for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day holidays.

I've been super busy at work (working 12 hour days, 5 days a week).  this is the first time I've had any time off  in the last month, other than a snow day.  We have hired a new child care director and I think that this coming week, I'll be back to my normal duties.  I've had to be in the classrooms and the day care office to help out.  it's been a mess but I think we've found the right person to run the day care.  I was supposed to get off at noon on Wednesday but the Department of Human Services showed up to do a full review of the day care, so I got to spend the whole day there.  :(

Haven't had time to catch up but did see where Linda fell, I hope that you are doing better.

Joanne, hope your weather isn't too bad and that you got to see all your family.

Mary - hope things are going good with you all.

Maybe I'll be able to get on here more since I will be getting home earlier.  GSs are with DD tonight, so it's really quiet here.  But tomorrow we're putting up the tree, so it will be a fun afternoon.  The boys will decorate the tree--it's interesting to see what they do.

Have a great Saturday evening all.  Hugs to all of you.

  2. Good Afternoon!!  It's definitely a fall day here--it's cold (51 this morning) but when it's been in the 90's the day before, that's cold and it's been raining.  Spent the morning at the Pumpkin Festival with youngest DD and the grandsons.  Oldest DD is working 2 jobs now, so youngest one is watching them on the weekends.  The boys had a good time.  We got 6 pumpkins!!  We plan to bake some of them and make pumpkin pies.

Joanne - hope you had a great birthday!  And it was I love yarn day too!!  Hope you were able to purchase some yarn to celebrate your day!

Mary - hope your weather is better than ours--it's so cold and dreary.

Judy - My DH says I never make what he wants, only what the GS want.  I now have to get creative with everything since the youngest GS cannot have any dairy (really have to read all the those labels to make sure there's not something in there he can't have).  Now I'm on a quest to find a pumpkin pie recipe with no dairy in it.

Cindy - sometimes we just need to "play" instead of doing chores.  I spent a lot of time doing other stuff rather than chores.  Wish there was a "chore fairy" that would take care of all that stuff.

Well, speaking of chores, I'd better get some laundry going.  Still working on the rings for DD, have 4 made and need 4 more.  Then I get to figure out the strips to link them together.

Have a wonderful weekend!!  Hugs to all of you.

  3. Hi all, seems as though I don't have a lot of time any more to be on the computer.  It's in the boys room and they have "homework" every night on the computer that they have to do and then it's time for them to go to bed.  so I can't be on it except when they aren't here.   We have a good system (most nights) and have them in bed by 7, of course they really don't go to sleep until 7:30 or later but at least they are laying down and trying to sleep.

It's been busy at work, still getting the new boss settled in and "putting out fires" that were left burning when the other ones left.  It's getting better and I hope by next month, there won't be as much going on.

Sounds like you are all busy.  Judy love the squares!!  I can see why you'd want to keep it!

I made several purple hats for the shaken baby awareness month.  I think the church sent 109 of them.  I was surprised that there were that many.

My next project is to make a set of rings that the 2 year olds will use to help keep them in line while going down the hall or outside.  DD has a set that's in really bad shape and it's really hard to clean.  I'm trying to make one and hoping that it will work.  At least the "ring" part is ok, I used a donut pattern to make the ring.  The strip will need to be figured out next.  Then I get to make them pillows for them to sit on.  And I'll probably want to make some Christmas stuff too.  So I guess I'll be busy for a while.

I really need to get my afghan out that I started about 4 years ago and finish it.  It's been in a box since we moved and I really need to get it out.  We bought a new bed a couple of weeks ago and I need to see if it's big enough for this bed.  We got a temperapedic (or how ever you spell it) and the head and feet raise.  I love it!  My back and knee don't hurt and I can sleep a lot better.  I didn't even hear the storm the other night and that's saying something for me--I always hear the storms.

Well, I'd better go and get busy.  I hope you all have a great weekend and I promise to try to get in here and see how everyone is as often as I can!

    Hugs to all of you!

  4. Judy - beautiful afghan!  I love the colors.

Mary - hope things are going well for your DH.  I do not like dentists but I found one that I love and she's not in our insurance network :(  But I pay the difference just to go to her.

Cindy - Enjoy your day of crafting.  When I do a round ripple, I do double strands - goes way faster, less dc to do.  But the one round ripple I'm doing for myself (which I recently found when unpacking some more boxes) is single strand dc - and I've got more to do on it.  It's something I need to get out and finish.

Joanne - glad to see you're almost done with your afghan.  I'd do the crab stitch and call it done.

Marlene - will be praying for that little one that is ill.

As for the full moon - we could always tell when it was a full moon when I worked at the chapel on base - got all kinds of crazy calls.  And I've had nurse friends tell me that it's busier in the ER and baby delivery area during a full moon.

Got a few more baby hats done, got some more yarn yesterday so I can make more than just 2.  So far I think I have 5 or 6 and still more yarn to use up.  This group also makes scarves to give to the homeless at Christmas time and I've made some out of my leftover yarn that I have.  The boys will be with mom tonight but we'll have them tomorrow as they are out of school.  Can't believe they are already out for a professional day (school started on August 19).  We hope to go to the park near us and see what they have to play on - at least if it's not raining.  If it's raining, we may have movie day instead.

Have a wonderful day, hugs to all of you.

  5. Judy - those hats are so cute!!

Mary - what handsome boys!!  Getting so big.  They grow up so fast!

Joanne - hope things are going well for you.

I'm on vacation this week.  Not going any where since we have the boys.  Yesterday the little one wanted to walk to school (it's about 3 blocks from here) and we got to the very first corner (which is the next yard over) and he says his feet hurt LOL.  One day was enough, we are now driving to school every day!  We do plan on going to the state fair but it will probably next week, payday was the wrong week for us to go this week.

Got  a couple of baby hats done for the October purple hat campaign (it's to help parents remember not to shake their babies when they cry).  The church I work at has a crochet/knit group and they are doing it as a group.  Since I can't go to the meetings, I thought I'd make some hats.  Only had a partial skein of cotton purple, sounds like a trip to store is in order!

Hope you all are having a great week!!   Hugs to all of you!

  6. Hi everyone!  Happy Labor Day!  I hope you are having a great holiday.

It's been really busy here at home and I've not had time to get on the computer. School started on Aug 19.  The little one is in kindergarten again but at least this school has all day kindergarten, so we don't have to pay for a lot of day care now.  Oldest one is in 4th grade - where has the time gone?  they both love their new school and it's a brand new school as well.

No time for crocheting for a while, so hopefully I'll get to do that soon.  Christmas will be here before I know it and I won't have anything done :(   But I've found plenty of patterns that I want to do but I've just got to have the time to do them.

The new boss is really great and doing some great things with the church.  It's a joy to go to work now.  There's been a lot of good changes and I hope it will help the church to grow.

I'll try to catch up later on all the happenings   Hopefully I can get on here more now that we have settled things down some.

    Hugs to all of you!!

  7. Hi All - I, too, have been MIA (like Marisa).  No excuse but that I'm so tired by the end of the day, I just crash in my recliner and rest.  The stress in the office has gone way, way down.  It's taking time to get things lined out with the new boss but it's working ok.  Time will tell.  It's still the "honeymoon" stage. LOL.

The pups are keeping us busy - laughing.  It's so funny to watch them fight over a toy.  There's soooo many toys in this house, and they decide to fight over the same one - just like my kids did.  Buster Brown seems to want to sit on my lap more than Missy ever did and that's fine with me.  He's so sweet.  He will sleep almost all afternoon on my lap.  I don't get a lot of crocheting done when he's out and about.  But his bedtime is usually 7 p.m., so I can get some crocheting done.

I started a prayer shawl but made it a scarf.  I didn't care for doing the shawl on the long edge (190 sts), so I decided to stop.  I did figure out how to make the prayer shawl on the "short" side, it's going much faster and I don't make as many mistakes on it.  I'll post a pic if I ever get it done.

Well, we're into the "hot and humid" here in Oklahoma.  Sigh :(  We did get a lot of rain for a couple of weeks but now we're into July weather.  Was really hot today and tomorrow won't be much better.  That's also another reason I don't have a lot of energy at night.

Everyone have a great evening!  Hugs to all of you.

  8. Mary - so sorry to hear of all your trials.  I would love to join you but unfortunately the bank balance says I can't.  You can come here anytime and we'll be here to listen.  Wish we lived closer together so I could help you.  but you are in my prayers.  Glad for the rain for your area.  We've been getting some much needed rain and the temps have been sooooo good for June for Oklahoma.  Not really too hot (but we still have a lot of summer to get through, so I'm sure we'll hit that wonderful 100 sometime).

Joanne - enjoy the little ones!  Glad you had a wonderful Saturday.

We bought another pool, the pump went out on the old one and it's cheaper to buy a pool than a pump.  But this one is bigger and the boys are excited to get in it.  Little man will have to wear his floaties as it's probably going to be up to his chin!  I'm ready for some relaxing time in the pool.

There's an air show today at the air base and we're going to take the boys (this may be a really big mistake as I'm sure it's going to be really crowded).  The Thunderbirds are flying and I hope that we get to see them.  hopefully we can see some older planes flying as well.

Have a great Sunday!!  Hugs to all.

  9. Hi all!!  update on DD - she went back to work but can't drive yet as she's still on pain meds.  At least she can go to work this week.  She sees the dr next week and hopefully she'll be in a walking cast and be able to do a little bit more.  The boys have been pretty good and help her some.

Buster Brown and Missy are so cute to watch.  Buster has learned to bark (well, squeak maybe) and growl.  He's so cute when he barks, one ear goes up.  Hopefully it won't be up all the time.

Well it's hot and windy here (typical for Oklahoma in June) but at least no bad storms, just a lot of rain.  I had to water the garden tonight since we didn't get any rain since the weekend.  And we have tomatoes!!!!  And Missy can't get them - ha!!  She ate all the tomatoes last year before they even got ripe.  So we put up a bigger fence to keep her out this summer.  I'm really hoping they get ripe and we have some to eat before long.

Mary - hope Luke is better now.

Marisa - good to see your post.  I've been MIA for a while dealing with all the stress of moving out 2 bosses and getting 1 boss in.

Holly - sounds like a busy weekend for you all.

Marlene - looks like Maya will have a good summer!

Have a great evening everyone!  Hugs to all.

  10. Hi all- I've been MIA again :(  But hopefully i'll be able to be on here more.  The new boss is great!!!  My stress level is gone way down.  We have a "no drama zone" in the office!!  Now just to get the old boss to keep from calling several times a day!!!

Oldest DD had ankle surgery on Thursday and is doing ok.  The pain pump wasn't working, so she finally called the nurse today to find out why.  It's working now so maybe she can get some rest.  We've had the boys since Wednesday so she'd be able to rest without their bickering (yes, they do that a lot LOL).

Buster Brown and Missy are finally getting along.  They love to play with all the stuffed toys and they fight over the chew sticks--of course, Missy usually wins since she's bigger.

Well we've had lots of rain, more due to tomorrow.  But we've needed it for a long time--the drought is still going on but it's not in the extreme range now.

Well the boys are wanting to go outside, so they can run off some energy!!  Have a great weekend!

  11. Good Morning All!!  I had to do the pics of the puppy at work this morning.  Couldn't get it to open at home.  But here's the littlest GS with him.  We are so proud of him--no fear of this puppy and he's not afraid of Missy anymore.

Going to be a busy day but wanted to share the pics of our new furbaby.    Everyone have a great Tuesday!!

  12. Hi All!!  Just one more day (if we can both survive until then).  The minister that got hurt is not the new one but the lady pastor that is leaving.  I'm so sad that she's leaving and that she is hurt.  The drs think that there will be no surgery and that the tendon will repair itself.  Today wasn't a good day--too much drama.  Won't bore you with the details computer drama but I'm so glad that the new boss will be there on Thursday.

Can't get the pics of Buster Brown to download from my email.  So I'll try to figure something else out tomorrow.  I'm so tired now (after all the computer drama) that my mind needs to not think right now LOL.

Well, our Thunder lost in the playoffs.  But there's always next year.  hopefully next year all the guys will be healthy and able to mesh as a team.  We're still proud of the team, they've been through a lot this year.  At least I don't have to watch the other teams now - or at least I don't think I will.  DH is a big sports fan but by the time of the season comes to an end, I'm tired of sooooo much sports.

Hope you all are having a good Monday!  Will check in more now that the drama will soon be over (Or at least that's what I'm praying for).

    Hugs to all of you!!

  13. Good Evening all--glad it's Wednesday!  I'm beginning to really dislike the short week--too much to do and not enough time to do it.

Buster Brown is so cute--his personality is so different from Missy's.  He tries so hard to get her to play, but she has begun to play a little bit with him.  We love watching him play and run.  Typical puppy.  Missy's still mad at us and leaves us "presents" around the house still.  Hopefully that will stop soon.

Work this week is hectic.  One pastor has barely started to pack (he's got a room full of books) and he's only emptied one shelf.  The other one has everything out already.  She got hurt on her vacation and won't be able to do any standing or walking for 6 weeks.  There's no surgery but hopefully it will heal enough that she can walk ok.  She didn't break anything but cut a tendon and the way it was damaged, they can't do surgery to repair it.  So prayers for her recovery would be appreciated.  I'm soooo ready for the new pastor to be here.  Just a few more days, and he should be moved in.

We got a lot of rain (well, a lot considering how much we haven't had this year).  There's still a burn ban in effect.  At least so far we don't have any bad storms predicted.  I'm so not ready for the bad stuff.  We're all on edge about the storms after last May.

Holly - not good on your smart phone.  So far we've not had that problem but we lock the screen (you have to enter a code to unlock it but you can still do 911 in a true emergency) which makes it harder to call 911.  We still have a land line though.  We never use it, but it's there if we need it.

Joanne - glad you got your shawl finished.  Looking forward to seeing it.

I know I promised pics of Buster Brown, but I forgot to send them to my email.  So I will do that tonight.  Then I need to make a little turtle to give to the one pastor--I'm sure I've got plenty of time since he's not packed but about 12 boxes  LOL.

Have a great evening all.  Hugs to all of you!!

  14. Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!  Thank you to those that have had a family member serve in the Armed Forces.

We got a new furbaby.  He's a full brother to Missy (same mom and dad).  The lady we got Missy from is getting ready to move back to the New England area and she couldn't take any of these new puppies with her.  She kept talking with DD and finally convinced her to take the pup.  His name is Buster Brown (he is totally different than Missy).  I haven't transferred my pics to the computer so I can't post it yet but I will try to later today.  He's so cute and fuzzy!!  But Missy isn't having much to do with him yet, but hopefully she'll soon get over being mad that we brought a new 'thing' in the house.

I hope all of you enjoy your weekend.  We spent yesterday looking at pickup trucks.  DH needs a newer one and we finally found one.  So now we don't have to worry about his driving that old truck now.

Well, we're off to Petco to get new Baby toys!!  Will check in later.

  15. Linda - WOW!!  What a great picture!  You have an awesome talent!!

Cindy - Glad that you are able to take the meds and hopefully that will keep the nasty stuff away from you.

Joanne - hope you had a good evening!

For those wanting to try a c2c, give it a try--it's a quick pattern.  I was surprised at how fast it went.

A busy day today - school will be over this Friday for both GS.  I'll be so glad not to drive the little one to school every day.  Sad thing is he will have to do Kindergarten over again.  He's ok with "staying in the class again" - not using the term holding him back.  But he can't stay at the day care where I work next year, so I won't be seeing him and his brother as much next school year.  I really wanted DD to put them in the school by us as it would save a lot on day care and it's an all day kindergarten versus the 2 1/2 hours he's done this year (and next).  But she's determined to keep them there but that could change once school gets closer.

Didn't do anything but read this weekend.  Need to make a turtle for one of the bosses (that's what he collects).  Already have the other one's gift made (a prayer shawl).  Well, I'd better get off and get to bed.  Will have to go in early again tomorrow.  Have a great evening all!!  Hugs to all of you.

  16. Hi all - again I've been MIA for a time.  Our computer was still having problems (well really the internet connection) but I think it's fixed now.

I made a corner to corner (c2c) afghan for DD's coworker, did it in one week.  Good thing it's done cause the little one came early. I did it in red, white, and black--her theme was Mickey Mouse.  Hadn't ever done a c2c but it was fast and looks good.  I will probably make more of them.  Still haven't finished my shrug that I started about a month ago but hopefully I'll get it done this weekend.  Probably won't have the boys as the little one is in trouble from not being good at school :(

Met the new boss this week.  I think we will get along good.  I am sooooo ready for some peace.  He's got his work cut out for him to make things work well.

Well it's almost time for me to go to work--DD is on vacation this week so I don't have to go in early this week.  Next week it will be back to being there early.  Hope you all have a great day!!

  17. Hi all, my internet is "sort of" working.  It's almost as slow as before.  :(  Not sure what we will do as the last tech said they couldn't improve the speed.  So I may end up calling again and see what they tell us this time.  There is also this horrible hum on the phone line (supposedly from a street light).  So we'll talk and decide.  I hate to give up our AT&T because it's at a retiree rate.

Haven't read much yet.  It's so slow to load, I just read this page.  Joanne - WOW what a deal on the yarn!!!  Hope you enjoy it.

Marlene - hope you're having a good weekend.  The "doggie cake" is made locally.  It had icing and it's really hard, like a dog biscuit.  One of the women I work with has a soft dog cake recipe and she's going to give to me tomorrow.  So I'll share it once I get it.  She said her dogs love it.  Missy loves her cake but it's gonna take a long time to eat it since we have to break it off.

    Linda - awesome drawing!!

Well they will have a meeting (probably going on right now) about the change of pastors.  It's been a stressful week and I'm not sure this week will be any better.  I'll just be glad when the change is made and maybe we can have a normal day (I'd say week but that's never gonna happen LOL).

    Have a great weekend all!!

  18. Hi ladies - just a quick hello!!  I guess the computer problem at home isn't fixed yet.  It's now back to what it was earlier.  I guess I'll have to call again :(   Still not caught up on the posts.  But you all are in my prayers.

Yesterday was Missy Snuggles (our puppy) birthday!!  DD bought her a birthday cake from the Barking Dog Bakery (never knew something like that existed).  She took a video of her eating it, really cute.  I'll try to post a pic of it (if I can get my home computer back up and running).

No boys this weekend--they are going camping (it's gonna be almost 100 this weekend).  At least there's supposed to be good weather this weekend, next week--not so good, a chance of storms again--I really dread this time of the year with all the storms/tornadoes.  Prayers for those in the areas affected this last weekend.

Well, I'd better go and get busy.  May you all have a wonderful day!!  Hugs to you all.

  19. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

    Judy - beautiful shawl!!

Our internet stopped working the next day after it was repaired.  They finally sent someone out yesterday (yes on Easter) and he thought he found the problem.  But it couldn't be fixed until today.  So, here I am, the internet is working fast (like it's supposed to).  Also, we got new phones and couldn't get anything to download, but now we're able to do that as well.  Technology's a wonderful thing--when it works LOL.

I hope all of you are doing well.  I'll try to catch up later tonight or tomorrow.  It's been a very long day--had another meeting tonight, :(  but at least it wasn't a real long one.  Things are still somewhat stressful and probably will be until the new pastor comes in which will be in June.

Enjoy your evening and rest well friends!!  Hugs to all.

  20. The internet problem is solved!!!  We needed a new modem--and since DH is retired from AT&T, it should be free--yea!!!

Mary - looking forward to seeing your store.  I'm sure I missed what the link is so could you let me know how to find you there?

Cindy - Enjoy your birthday party tomorrow!!

Joanne - hope you're feeling better and rested now!!

Haven't had the time to catch up but I will.

Update on my work - They are moving both pastors and I will get 1 new boss.  I've heard he's easy to work with and a great pastor.  I'm looking forward to meeting him and working with him.  The next 2 months will be spent getting the office ready for him.  I'm very sad to see the lady pastor go, she's a great pastor and I have loved working with her.  I finished her prayer shawl (made in her favorite school color--orange (for OSU).  She's going to need a lot of prayer for her new job--it will be a challenge.

Won't have the either GS this weekend (or at least that's how it is now).  Littlest one had a major meltdown at day care yesterday and his punishment is not to come to our house for the next two weekends.  I'm sad that she used that as punishment but there's not a lot I can do about it.  Hopefully she'll only make it 1 week since the following weekend is Easter.

Thanks for the prayers for my friend's son.  The outlook is not good at all but they are praying for a miracle.  She loved the shawl and was grateful for it.  I'm glad I was able to give her something to help during this time.

Well it's time to go and check the laundry (doing the boys karate uniforms).  I have to have them to DD tomorrow morning.  Have a great evening all!! Hugs to all of you!!

  21. Hi All - Our internet is down at home since Saturday night :(  They are coming tonight to fix it (hopefully).  Between the high winds and the rain we had on Sunday, I think that's the problem. I'm on my work computer just to check in and say hi.

I finished a prayer shawl for a friend that attends the church where I work.  Their son has cancer and is now on hospice.  He's an adult but it's so hard to know your son doesn't have much longer.  So prayers for the family would be appreciated.

Well I'd better get to work and maybe tonight I'll be able to catch up and see what all has been going on!!  Hugs to all!

  22. Well, I've been MIA for a while.  Between the stress at work and my thyroid being messed up, I'm so tired by the end of the day I have no energy to either crochet or get on here for a few minutes.  The thyroid was too high (which means I'm not getting enough meds, so the dr upped my dose) but it takes a while for things to change.  I go back the last week of April and be retested  :(    I was hoping yesterday would be the big day but it was changed to this Thursday.

Everyone has been busy!!!  I can't even remember everything!  But I'm sure glad I came in and read tonight.  Maybe tomorrow night I'll be a little more rested and more interested in doing something.

I don't remember if I said, but I finished the prayer shawl for the "new" pastor that I work with.  I need to update my list and my signature as I've done a couple more of them.

Youngest DD has had a migraine since Saturday morning.  She's missed work the last two afternoons (a room full of 2 year olds and a migraine do not go well together).  Hopefully tomorrow will be better for her.  She's not had one this bad in a long time.

Well, I'd better go and get ready to relax.  I've had the boys tonight--little one was really tired and cried and cried at bedtime.  He's still having a tough time with all the changes but he does seem to do better now, not as clingy.

Have a great evening all!!  Hugs to all of you!!

  23. Good Evening!!  I'd planned to be on earlier this week.  We had the boys Wednesday night and then oldest one woke up with his throat hurting.  DD took him to the dr and he's got strep.  So we kept little one Thursday so hopefully he won't get it.  He was so upset, he wanted his Bubba and he cried a long time at day care.  I finally got him to stop with the promise of doing some special things.

Work was horribly stressful.  Didn't get much done on Friday except the bulletins--too much else was going on.  Never a dull moment.

Look like all of you have been busy.  Joanne - glad the PT is going well.

Linda - the shawl is beautiful!!

I'm working on a prayer shawl for a friend.  I'll try to post a pic of it once it's finished.  I started it last week on the trip to Kansas but haven't had much time to work on it since then.  I'm probably half way done with it.  Hopefully I can work on it tomorrow.

Well, spring is here - LOL.  We're have another round of cold weather :(  I'm so tired of this up and down stuff.  It was in the 70's earlier this week, tomorrow it will be low 50's.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!  Hugs to all.

  24. Linda - glad you're able to find ways to save on your move!  And get lots of help.

Cindy - hope you can relax today.

Joanne - tell Robbie a late Happy birthday!!  I'm sure it was a fun day for all.

Holly - Hope you're enjoying your spring break.

Marlene - sounds like you've been busy.

My week was another horrible week.  I'm so very tired of drama and people resisting change.  And they'd better get ready for more is coming in the next month.  I'm still looking for another job but nothing has come up yet that will pay enough.  Littlest GS went to the dr on Wednesday and they told us no dairy (can't remember if I told you all or not, so forgive me it I've repeated id).  He's lactose intolerant but has always eaten cheese, yogurt, just not the regular milk.  Well, dr thinks his tummy is not liking any dairy products so for 30 days we are to keep him off them.  There are lactose free cheese and yogurt, so we'll be getting that for him for day care snacks and for at home.  So far, he's not cried because his tummy hurt.  He only cried last night cause he wanted to stay another night.  But he gets to spend the night on Wednesday and take me out to eat for my birthday, so he was happy with that.

We will be going to Kansas this morning (waiting on BIL to come and get us) to go and see our uncle that has been placed on Hospice care.  He's in his 90's.  His wife is now living with their daughter and we will get to see them as well.  So it will be a quick trip as we have to be at work tomorrow :(   Was hoping to take some time off but that won't happen until all the changes take place in June.

I made a prayer shawl for a friend at the church I work at, her cancer has come back, so I decided to make her one.  She helps with the folding of the bulletins on Friday.  I'm not sure she's going to beat it this time, so prayers would be appreciated for her.  This is her 3rd time to fight that terrible disease.  I'm also making one for the "new" pastor and it's going to be orange and white (she loves Oklahoma State) and although their colors are black and orange, I just can't do black anymore, so at least it will have orange in it.  I'll be working on that as we travel today.

Please be safe everyone.  for those in the cold, stay warm!!  Hugs to all of you.

  25. Hi All - been a while since I've been here.  Between the crazy weather and watching the boys again, I've been busy.

Mary - beautiful afghan!!  I'm sure it will be well loved!

Joanne - hope you've had a good weekend!

I think maybe spring is here (knock on wood).  No snow is in the forecast for the next week--but with a late Easter there is always a possibility of more ice/snow.  We have the boys this weekend.  Little one's tummy is better.  I've only had to give him 1 Tums this weekend.  so maybe he's over whatever it was he had.  Work has been stressful again, maybe I should say still.  Not sure it's going to better any time soon.  It really drains me with all the drama I have to deal with every day.  I need a nice peaceful job that pays better than what I now get.

Well, little man is hungry, so I need to fix him something to eat.  Have a great weekend.
