I'm was working on a fairly large filet crochet piece. It's about 150 squares tall by 90 squares wide. What I'm having a hard time with is keeping track of where I'm at/counting. I started once going from side to side. Then I turned the graph sideways and worked the long side first. I got to about 30 rows and then found I was "off". I really didn't want to "fudge" the mistake so I ripped out to the error but have gotten discouraged and haven't picked it up since (about a month now).
Do you think it would be okay to "split" the graph and work 2 halves and then whip stitch it together? It's a portrait of a well known person but I'm not sure how this will look.
Maybe I will have to give up working on such a large piece with a toddler running around that throws off my concentration. But your thoughts would be appreciated on what I can do.
