  1. That is just BEAUTIFUL! ^5.... you should be very proud of yourself!
  2. :manyheartThank you all so much for the compliments.... WOW! You know... this little bag came about one night... as I was in the middle of knitting slippers for my mom. I had this tote in my head... and I dont know about any one else... but when I get a design caught in my head... I need to get it out NOW. Now the real thought was for a larger tote.... but I figured if I just stopped for a few minutes... and made a mini version of what I was thinking.... then I would feel better. Well it worked. But something I discovered... a day later ... was that I wasnt as creative as I thought. I really thought I had come up with this little tote on my own... then while surfing for a particular stitch... I came across a site where a lady makes nothing but these types of totes..... *SIGH* Anyway... the basic design for this little tote is to chain your desired length for the bottom of the tote. Its worked in rounds. DC back down the chain. 2 more dc in the last ch. then continue aroud the corner with dc's back up the chain... adding 1 extra dc in the end. So you will have 3 dc in the ends and 1dc in ch sp in the middle you continue working rounds for how ever many rows you want. when you are ready to put in the handle... you simply pick the center of the front and back. dc to the point of starting the handle.. chain a length you are happy with... attach it back to the tote... work to the next handle spot... repeat. Continue to dc in each stitch as if nothing had changed until you are happy with the handle thickness. TahDah.... a mini tote purse. you can add fabric to the inside if you like. Okay... so there is a great possibility that I didnt explain this very well... so dont be shy.... yell at me if you dont understand what I was trying to say!
  3. Blessings everywhere! Thank you Thank you Thank you .........everyone!!! Thank you for your support... your compliements... your love... your concern... your stories... and your prayers! The Prayer Blanket that started this wasnt even a Round Ripple. I made Michael a huge granny type blanket... of course then he said that I should make blankets for other kids like him. I had just finished a Round Ripple for a friend and thought that would make a Great Prayer Blanket.... I talked to Michael about it... and he said it would be GREAT because it was like the blanket was God and the 12 points were his disciples. Now... I was just thinking what a cool blanket it was.. and how it would be unique for a Prayer Blanket... but leave it to a child to see things deeper! Anyway... Thank you again everyone!!!!!
  4. You are a sweetheart.... thank you for your lovely words! This first set of blankets were done with a size I hook and 36 rounds in size. I think I will make a few larger ones this next time round... I was told there are a few teens that are being treated at the hospital my son goes too that we are making these blankets for. Blessings to you,

  12. That I made children with Nephrotic Syndrome. My 9 yr old son has Nephrotic Syndrome... when he had one of his relapses ... it was one of his worst ones... I made him a Prayer Blanket. Well.. he said to me that he thought other kids with Nephrotic Syndrome probably needed a Prayer Blanket of their own to make them feel better ... because his did for him. He said he felt warm and safe because he knew mommy had prayed over his blanket and God blessed it. Well........ my little man set into motion a Ministry dream for me. I made 7 Prayer Blankets and felt the Lord told me to go ahead and get those to the hospital before Christmas. Make more later... but I needed to get those first 7 out. So I did! Here they are..... clickable I'm now working on the second set. I just wanted to share... hope you dont mind from a newbie!
