  1. Has anything definite been arranged yet? $5.50 is also fine with me. I'm excited to get started!
  2. Great to see another Kentucky girl on here! Hi from Harrodsburg. Happy New Year!
  3. Here's what I've done so far. I decided to join as I go. I've been making up 4 or 5 squares at a time and then joining. I'm sure that's not how it's meant to be done, but so far it's not been bad.
  4. I'm interested to find out how many crochet and knit. I can crochet and am currently learning to knit. How many can do both? How long have you been doing each? Which did you learn first? Which do you find easier? I'm finding that I learned crochet much easier. It seemed more natural for me.
  5. I'm relatively new to crochet and am currently learning to knit. I find both to be enjoyable. I'm not sure how someone could choose one over the other. I feel very fortunate to know/learn both. There is no reason to be a snob over it. I also think you should e-mail the owner, Oz.
  6. I've got my first square almost done. Did I mention I'm a slow poke?
  7. I've made two of the hobo bags. I didn't use any interfacing. I had doubled my lining, so it was already pretty thick. I just made two tiny slits and pushed the prongs through. I slid the washer on and then bent the prongs outward. I think the washer just helps to reinforce the clasp and also take some of the pressure off of the fabric to keep it from tearing.
  8. I started my Babette! I'm using Caron SS Brites and throwing in some white and a variegated that I can't remember the name of the color right now. I've decided to join as I go. Has anyone else done it this way? I like instant gratification! Also...I was at a local antique shop this week. I found a groovy crocheted pillow! The tag said 1960s Kitsch to the Max or something like that. They were asking 22.50 for it. I took a pic with my phone. If I ever figure out how to transfer it from my phone, I'll post it on here. I immediately thought of this CAL when I saw it. It was hip rainbow colors. Very shagadelic!
  9. That's very pretty Susie. I plan on doing mine without the pattern too. Hopefully I can get it figured out.
  10. I don't have the Babette pattern. I'm just going jump in head first and wing it. I've not picked my colors yet, but I'm sure they'll be far out!
  11. Okay....I made through 11 pages of posts:eek. I kept trying to resist:goodorbad.......BUT....it just seems like to much fun to pass on:jumpyay. I think I'm gonna try for the Babette:2rock!! (<--just wanted to use this one )
  12. For those of you who've made a Babette blanket, what type of yarn did you use? I want something that can be easily washed. I just came across this pattern. I absolutely love it. I want to make one, but I'm not sure which yarn to use.
  13. This may be a silly question. Do these squares need to be blocked before we send them?
