    Pinwheel Hat

Wow, I love that! Great design, very professional looking.

    Button Scarf

Wow, what a great idea! I'll have to see if I can gather up enough buttons to try that!
  3. That's great looking, I love the texture and a pattern would be great. Do you happen to have a pre-felting picture? I'm just kinda curious about what it looked like.
  4. Those are really nice! I need to try and make something like that, they're really neat!
  5. http://www.stitchdiva.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=SDS-027 Maybe that's it, on stitchdiva? alternatively, there's something more clog-like, but knitted: http://www.stitchdiva.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=SDS-029
  6. I just tried it too, the page wouldn't come up. *shrug* Just wait it out, I guess! *frets*
  7. I swear I literally gasped when I saw this. It's gorgeous!

    Pixie hat/hood HELP!

A border's a great idea! I added a few brown stripes to the scarf part (which is red), so a brown border around the hood part should look really nice! Thanks so much, I'll post a pic when I'm done--and, of course, ask about any more problems if they show up .

    Pixie hat/hood HELP!

It still seems like the 10.5 inches isn't wide enough, though. Because the thing's folded in half, how wide the hood part is pre-sewing affects how deep the hood will be when everything's all sewn up, right? It just seems like, when it's finished, the hood won't be deep enough.
  10. I was inspired by rachaelart's pixie hat on craftster to make one following this pattern, but I'm having some problems with it. Before you fold it and half and sew it, is this what it's supposed to look like (see pic below)? That's what I thought, I'm just having a hard time visualising it. I kept the hood part at 10.5 inches even though I made the scarf itself longer (not doing the ascot ends), but it seems like it'll be a bit short to actually work as a hood when it's folded in half. Maybe I just have a big head. Thanks for any help you can provide!
  11. Here's a hat (w/ brim) I made with Lion Suede. It fits really well. I do have a question though. I wanted to embellish it a bit, and my mom (jokingly) suggested putting a big fake sunflower on the side of the hat. I really like that idea, and I want to do it, but I have NO CLUE how to attach the sunflower. Anyone have any ideas? Superglue LOL? Thanks so much for all your help, I really liked the pinback idea that a couple of you suggested, so that's what I did. Niiiiice and easy. Voila! Now hopefully they'll stay. . .
  12. Thanks so much guys! I've seen that kpixie pattern before, somehow it just didn't occur to me to make one when I was thinking about little-yarn projects. D'oh! It really is beautiful. And with the sports design, that's kind of a keyhole dealie they've got going, right? Kinda hard to tell with the dark colors. I think I could pull that off, doesn't look too difficult. Thanks a lot!
  13. Ooh, that's great! I can't wait to attempt one!
  14. Gah, thanks rsisland! I should have thought of that. *headdesk* Lotsa great stuff there!
  15. Browsing around all the handspun yards at Etsy has got me wanting a project that uses relatively little yarn. I was thinking something like a scarflet/neckwarmer/cowl? Out of season, I know! I think I might be able to figure out how to make one, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any patterns or pictures that I can use as inspiration. I don't even need a pattern necessarily, I just need some pictures to look at to get my brain working and give me some ideas. I've checked out CPC and all the usual haunts (including garnstudio, but it appears to be down--is that happening to anyone else?). Part of me thinks "Ah, it's only a scarflet, there can't be all that much variation," but I know there's a way to make it creative! Any help is appreciated!
