Apple Towel Topper- Green, Red, Brown Yarn I hook 1 Button 1 small plastic kid's bracelet (used to be called Jelly Bracelets) or a wire ring 3" Yarn needle Green Towel or towel of choice Front of Apple: Red Yarn and I hook- Chain 4 12 DC into 4 chain from hook. Join with slip stitch. (12 DC) Chain 3 2 DC each stitch around. Join with Slip Stitch (24 DC) Chain 3 2 DC in first stitch * 1 DC in next stitch 2 DC in next stitch Continue around * Join with slip stitch. (36DC) Chain 3 2 DC in first stitch * 1 DC in next 2 stitches 2 DC in the next stitch. Continue around * Join with slip stitch(48DC) Fasten off yarn and weave in ends. Back of Apple: Red Yarn- Chain 4 12 DC into 4 chain from hook. Join with slip stitch. (12 DC) Chain 3 2 DC each stitch around. Join with Slip Stitch (24 DC) Chain 3 2 DC in first stitch * 1 DC in next stitch 2 DC in next stitch Continue around * Join with slip stitch. (36DC) Chain 3 2 DC in first stitch * 1 DC in next 2 stitches 2 DC in the next stitch. Continue around * Join with slip stitch(48DC) Fasten off yarn and leave long tail to sew back to front. Towel Ring: With red yarn- Attach yarn to ring/bracelet. Single crochet around the ring/bracelet. Chain 1 Slip stitch around each stitch around. Fasten off and leave long tail to attach to the apple. Sew top 1/2 of Ring/Bracelet to the 3 round of the back of the apple. Place front and back of Apple together and sew 1/2 way around apple leaving bottom open. Leaf: With green yarn- Chain 8 2 SC in second chain from hook. 1 HDC in the next three chains. 1 DC in the next two chains 6 DC in the last chain Working in the free loops in back of chain: 1 DC in the next 2 loops 1 HDC in the next 3 loops 2 SC in the last loop. Join to the beginning with slip stitch. Fasten off and weave in ends. Sew leaf to top of Apple. Hanger/Stem Attach Brown yarn to top of Apple and work 7 SC across top.(7sc) *Turn Chain 2 HDC across row (7hdc) Repeat * for 4 rows Turn Chain 2 HDC decrease the first 2 stitches HDC the next 3 stitches HDC decrease the last 2 stitches (5hdc) Turn Chain 2 HDC in each stitch across row (5hdc) Turn Chain 2 HDC in the first stitch Chain 2 Skip the next 2 stitches. HDC in the last 2 stitches (3 hdc 2 chains) Turn Chain 1 SC in each stitch across including chain 2. (5sc) Fasten off and weave in ends. Sew button to the bottom of the back of the stem. Fold hanger/stem in half and fasten to button.

Join with Slip Stitch (24 DC) Skip 2 stitches. 8 Half Double Crochet in next stitch Skip 2 stitches Slip Stitch in next 2 stitches Skip 2 stitches 8 HDC in next stitch Skip 2 stitches Slip stitch in next stitch Fasten off yarn and weave in ends. With Red yarn- sew on a mouth. Back of Froggie: With Green yarn- Chain 4 12 DC into 4 chain from hook. Join with slip stitch. (12 DC) Chain 3 2 DC each stitch around. Join with Slip Stitch (24 DC) Fasten off and leave long tail to sew front and back together. Place front and back together and sew around from bottom of eye to bottom of opposite eye. Leave top open. Back of Frog: Green Yarn- Chain 4 12 DC into 4 chain from hook. Join with slip stitch. (12 DC) Chain 3 2 DC each stitch around. Join with Slip Stitch (24 DC) Chain 3 2 DC in first stitch * 1 DC in next stitch 2 DC in next stitch Continue around * Join with slip stitch. (36DC) Chain 3 2 DC in first stitch * 1 DC in next 2 stitches 2 DC in the next stitch. Continue around * Join with slip stitch(48DC) Fasten off yarn and leave long tail to sew back to front. Towel Ring: With green yarn- Attach yarn to ring/bracelet. Single crochet around the ring/bracelet. Chain 1 Slip stitch around each stitch around. Fasten off and leave long tail to attach to the frog. Sew Ring/Bracelet to the 3 round of the back of the frog. Place Front and Back of Frog together with the towel ring inside. Sew from 4 stitches below the eye around to 4 stitches below the opposite eye leaving bottom open. Hanger: Attach green yarn to the top of frog at the first stitch between eyes. Single crochet in the 4 stitches between eyes. *Turn Chain 2 HDC in each stitch Repeat * 6 rows Turn Chain 2 HDC in first stitch Chain 2 HDC in last stitch Turn Chain 1 Single crochet in each stitch and each chain. Fly: With F hook and black yarn- Chain 2 6 single crochet in second chain from hook. Join with slip stitch. Chain 2 2 HDC in same stitch Chain 2 Slip stitch in same stitch. Fasten off black yarn and leave long tail for sewing onto frog. Attach white yarn between head and body of fly. Chain 3 Slip stitch in same stitch Slip stitch other side of head and chain 3 slip stitch in same stitch. Fasten off yarn and weave in ends. Take button and fly and attach to the middle of the first row of hanger. Fold hanger and button through the chain 2.
  3. Orange and Green Yarn I hook Yarn Needle Make 2 with orange Chain 4 12 DC in 4 chain from hook. Join with Slip Stitch. (12 DC) Chain 3 2 DC in each stitch around. Join with Slip Stitch. (24 DC) Fasten off. Weave in ends. Place the two rounds together and sew 1/2 around using the needle. Attach green yarn to the top of one of the rounds. Single Crochet 4 stitches Turn Chain 1 Single Crochet the 4 stitches Turn Chain 1 Decrease Single Crochet 2 stitches twice Turn Chain 1 Single Crochet the 2 stitches. Fasten off. Attach green yarn to the bottom of the green stem. Chain 10 3 Single Crochet in each stitch. Fasten off.
  4. WW yarn of Choice or you can use cotton yarn G or H hook For Can Cozy- Round 1- Chain 4, 12 DC in 4th chain from hook, Join with slip stitch to beginning. Round 2 - Chain 2, 2 Half DC in each DC around join with slip stitch to beginning. Round 3 - Chain 1, 1 sc in back loops only of each hdc around. Join with slip stitch to beginning. Round 4- Chain 2, 1 hdc in each sc around. Join with slip stitch to beginning. Round 5 thru 14- Repeat round 4 Round 15- SC each hdc around. Join with slip stitch and finish off and weave in end. For Hat- Do Round 1 thru 4 of above. Row 5- 2 DC in each hdc around. Join with slip stitch to beginning. Finish off and weave in end. You can add a face/head to your cozy if you want. I just used an ami head I make and sewed it on the front. Extras Patterns Coming soon- birthday party hat, tea party hat, animal heads(in place of the hat) To make a cozy for a 12 oz gatorade bottle- Follow pattern above til row 9 then end off and weave in end.
  5. Worsted Weight Yarn- variegated and matching solid color H hook Make 2- With variegated Chain 31 Row 1 - Single crochet 2 chain from hook and in each chain across. Turn. Chain 1. 30 sc Row 2 thru 36 - SC in back loops only across. Turn. Chain 1. 30 sc Fold in half and sew a seam through the first row and the last row. Attach matching solid color Row 1 single crochet evening around opening. Turn. Chain 1. 72 sc Row 2 single crochet each stitch around. Turn chain 1. 72 sc Row 3 *single crochet chain 1 skip next stitch single crochet in next stitch. Repeat * around and join to top of chain 1. Weave ends in. With variegated or another matching color Chain 105 Weave through each hole of row 3. Knot ends and trim. Tie bow at the back of the slipper or in the front whichever way you want it. I designed these slippers with my Mom in mind. Her feet swell and unswell from her diabetes and the tie can be tightened or loosened to fit.
