  2. I have some basic socks on my needles. Still trying to perfect making the normal plain socks before i do any detailed patterns.
  3. I lived in Portland Maine for a year. I miss Maine tear.
  4. I received mine in the mail last week. I wish I had time after work to make some items, but I'm so busy with cleaning, cooking, stitch markers. Boo. I want to make the dress pattern into a shirt too!
  5. I love Crochet Today. All their wearables are things I would make. Crochet! just isn't my style it in my opinion tries to hard to be trendy and hip.
  6. I've never made anything for babies so I don't have experience with the yarn used. My husband told a women he works with that I would make booties for her baby that she will be having and her family members who are having children. What is the best baby yarn to use that isn't a one pounder and has a variety of colors. I don't want a huge skein if all i will make is baby booties, i don't think they want anything else but booties. Suggestions? Thank you very much for the help.

  8. I agree, but as long as i get it i'm happy.
  9. As always I looked at the crochet today site and they have their new magazine out!! There are so many cute things in it, including amigurumi ice cream cones, coasters, bowl, dress, and bathing suit. Go take a look. I'm so excited, can't wait for my issue to come in the mail. Crochet Today
  10. I use clear blogs and feel it to be really easy. It has simple tags that if you want to change the colors you don't get really really confused. I think it just depends on how well you read and understand html/CSS. You can put whatever you want but the basic layout is a photo header, photo of self, about you or description, links, archives, and so much more. I'm sure someone else will give you a better answer.
  11. Has anyone else received their email today? Way at the bottom it mentions they have new needle sizes by popular request!!!! They say the new sizes include 2.25 and 2.75 mm, also 16 inch fixed circulars through size 11. I know i've been waiting for the 16 inch circulars.
  12. I try to ignore what projects are considered beginner and just levels in general. I feel that there is no harm in trying something that looks harder even if you haven't tried something easier. You never know until you try. Ha.
  13. Here are some instructions online that might help you out a bit. Crochet Me Amigurumi Assembly
  14. Absolutely stunning. I love the color you picked out it really compliments the pattern. Now get making more!!
  15. OH i see, wow i have been blind! So you do the stitch in the chains you made in the previous row. wow i can see:clap:manyheart Now off to crochet i go:hook
  16. Thank you everyone for the advice. I'll have to try moving the stitches on and off needles when my package of sock yarn comes. Lets hope for the best, if not them magic loop it is.
  17. When I was making my mother in law a ripple afghan I saw DH staring at me every time I was crocheting. I one day looked over and said," Why are you staring do you want to try it or something" And he shy shaked his head up and down. Now the whole afghan was dc and he couldn't not get it for the life of him. He got so upset and frustrated!! Now when I see him staring and ask if he wants to try again he says, "heck NO THAT S*** IS HARD".ha maybe one day i'll teach him slowly.

    Ch-3sp?

I'm always a little confused when i see ch-3sp. Do i chain then space, or space then chain. And when I space do i count 3 and then like sc in the fourth, or do i count 2 and sc in the 3?
  19. I love half price books. That is where i have gotten most of my books and magazines. If you wait for like a month the new magazines will show up in mine for like .50-3.00. I wish mine had more magazines
  20. I forgot some other ebay sellers that i had on my list for special crochet hooks. G3studios Vermont Woodwork Art In Crafts Graydog
  21. If you search for ergonomic crochet hooks you might be able to find one. I just put that in the search and 1 showed up. With some searching and checking back every week you can find something.
  22. I bought a whole set from 0 to like 11 of double pointed needles from one of those sellers. It's by far cheaper than buying them separate no matter what the shipping is. I believe i got mine from joycesupershop, the shipping is high but i only had to bid 2.50 for a total of 21.50.
  23. Who are your favorite ebay sellers for yarn and other crochet notions? I love these seller for bamboo crochet hooks http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZjoycesupershopQQhtZ-1 http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZskyridertrdQQhtZ-1 skyrider is more resonable for the hooks since they don't ship from hong kong but if you are looking for knitting needles then joycesupershop is a better deal because people get frightened with the shipping rate and don't bid high on them.
  24. I just knit one of my first socks. This is the first thing i have knit and it came out pretty good except for one thing. I have seam lines on my sock from using the dpn!!! Is there some way to avoid this? I swear i tightened when transitioning to the next needle but it seems like i would have to tighten with my teeth to get it to close up those seams. Please share your secrets.
