  1. Girl, you really got it going on with your shawls, ponchos, and other items! Nice work and a really enjoyable blog!
  2. Both of your hats are nioe! I want to make them too! Thanks for the patterns.
  3. Thank you SFGWIFE for responding. I'm working rows on this sweater. I'm bringing the pattern tomorrow and can proide more. I hope you're having a GREAT DAY!
  4. I'm trying to learn to shape. The pattern I'm using is from a book and it is a small boy's sweater. I am using worsted weight yarn and a K hook. I don't have the book with me now, so I can't give details. I will bring the book tomorrow and ask more questions. I just have a general question below. The sweater is all double crochet and double crochet decrease. I chained 44 and made the back to measure 14 inches. Then I made the front (same as back) to measure 12 inches. Now I'm starting the shape the neck on the front piece. Question: The first Row states that the chain 3 at the end of the row counts as a double crochet. Does this apply throughout, when the pattern says to double crochet in the next stitch? Is the next stitch the turning chain stitch? I'm trying to figure when I go into this stitch and when not to. I've been playing around with it to get the right stitch count on rows. I hope you can get the idea. Thanks for your help!
  5. Beautiful!! I'm going to try it. Thank you for the pattern.
  6. I've purchased several and haven't made one of them. But for .99$ I figure I can save them to make later. I've not had a bad experience but then that may be depending on my purchases so far. I get the downloads quick so I can store them for future use. I've never called them.
  7. I plan to continually make donations to Crochetville. I feel it is convenient for me to have a place to display my crochet work and get feedback from other crocheters. Thank you.
  8. Here are the last few. With most of these I was also learning hook size to make the hats fit to the head. The pattern I'm using for all but the turquoise hat and scarf is one of the flapper patterns (basic crown) off of Crochet Patterns Central. After doing the crown, one of the flapper hats calls for: Row 7: dc all around Row 8-10: double crochet in back loop, double crochet in front loop. Row 11: dc all around Then I kind of went off into the cluster pattern for some to get a brim to roll up and for a more delicate look around the edge. I thought Lionbrand Jiffy makes a good hat. Since it was cold and beginning to get cold, I wanted bulky hats Then I've got lots and lots of yarn (tooo much). I used two strands on some. The hat with the Earth tones was done with Lionbrand Homespun. Just some yarn I had and some scraps. I'm really enjoying crochet. I've some other things to send. I have to take pictures now though.
  9. Thank you everyone for, again, your lovely comments. Every Christmas I have to do some craft to give at Christmas. And, I wanted to learn to work in the round, which was good also. So, if anything, I felt good that I was able to give them as gifts.
  10. ] Some of my hat and scarf set I made at Christmas 2006. Gave them away to friends. I have several more to show. This is my first time using photobucket. Stay tuned. Thank you for your lovely comments. I have a few more...
  11. I just put more in. I hope they show up.
