  12. Thank you so much to an ELF in IN. I got a box full of hats and gloves for students at my school. It's great, since it's been so cold lately. I already emailed the staff and let them know to send any student who needs a hat or gloves up to my room. Thank you so much and I absolutely love the ones with the little snowflakes on them! She also included some great holiday cards to add to my collection, as we use them in art projects...
  13. I have two thank you's: One to an elf in NC - thank you for the patterns for my Crochet Club and from Fort Worth, TX...this elf sent a huge box of yarn and hooks for my Crochet Club Thank you so much! They will be put to good use. The girls are mastering the DC over holiday break
  14. Thank you to my Mass elf. She sent some hooks and yarn for my Crochet Club. She also included some pencils and great pens for my classroom with an activity book. Bestest of all - Lindt balls, oh how I these....Thank you!! Thank you!!
  15. Dobar dan! and welcome to Crochetville!
  16. This is always an exciting time! I love gift giving! I teach in an inner-city school and am starting a Crochet Club in December. Would appreciate some things for the students...rec'd from a MA elf Various size hooks (H and I preferably, but some girls have experience, so could work with other sizes) Skeins of worsted yarn (light colors are easier to teach with, but will need others as they gain experience)rec'd 1 from a MA elf Being in an inner city school, many of our kids are poor, would love some hats, scarves, gloves/mittens to pass out. Some of our kids go through the winter without these. Easy patterns for the students to follow (remember copyrights) Pencils and fun stuff to add to my prize box (third grade) rec'd from a MA elf If after the holidays, you would like to send me the fronts of your Christmas cards, we use them in a project. My last one for school is 12 inch squares in blue or green or 8 inch squares in pinks or purples. I started comfort ghans for 2 former students. Their older sister was diagnosed with cancer. I made her a ghan, but did not get enough squares to finish making for the sister and brother. I especially need 8 inch ones. Thank you so much! Thank you to my MA elf - especially love the pens! Now for me..... I collect Santa, especially "Old World" types, but love them all dearly. Would love a Santa from another country... Love Lindt chocolate Treats for my birds, a Pionus Parrot named Baloo and a Rosella named Beeper. DH likes hot sauces, chips, etc... Thank you to anyone who reads my lists and decides to gift. It will be appreciated....
  17. I made my first BICO a few weeks ago, however, I used the wrong hook and it is too small for the intended recipient, so need to make another. If interested it is on my blog (addy in siggy - just scroll down) It was really quick and I'll be making some more.
  18. I've tried this - didn't last long and Stitches East and Rhinebeck are both coming up in October - but good luck to you..
  19. Sorry - I received a postcard earlier in the week. Thank you thankyou! It was from somewhere in the west, but I have misplaced it. When I find it, I will give a proper thank you.....(I cleaned and you know when you clean you move things around and then can't find them again )
  20. One of the characters was wearing a too die for shrug/shawl combo. It had arms. The front was longer than the back, so you can throw it over your shoulders. The front had a large shell type pattern. It was gorgeous!
