  2. Welcome...I am from upstate NY..about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes from Syracuse NY...I have been crocheting for a few years..I have tried to knit but I do like crocheting better...
  3. It is a pretty afghan....I can see why you want to make it...
  4. I just got a closer pic they are not exact but pretty close....
  5. If you look on ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/christening-baby-shoes
  6. Hi Autumn35, Welcome to the group....I have never done the canvas work but it looks really interesting....Everyone here is very helpful...if you ever need any help with anything don't hesitate to ask for help...so many people will jump to give you advise.... Mary
  7. People are very greedy...I don't understand why people have to be that way...she was nice enough to share them so some of us could actually make her patterns and learn from her....honestly I don't blame her....its just another case where someone is being used for their own talents....
  8. I have some very old magazines that were given to me that have some vintage patterns in them....you can tell they are very old....do you think this is somethinhttps://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CF4QFjAE&url=http://freevintageknitting.com/patternbook/spool224/woolies-for-babies&ei=rZsfU4X7GsK0yAGqhoGYBw&usg=AFQjCNHUM4TmSjTkN0aep3nr181cFMrgQg&sig2=3q_URQ4d5fo6bjqKIoWPXg&bvm=bv.62788935,d.aWcg that you are looking for...also have a Bernat Handicrafter Book # 57 www.google.com book no 57

I have done one yet but I would like to....
  10. When I was crocheting the frosting part I was supposed to turn and go in the opposite direction but I was doing a continuous circle....I just kept missing it when I was reading the pattern in the magazine...I think it does help if you write the pattern out...I have heard other people do that and it does help and you don't get confused to where you are in the pattern...thank you for looking for me....
  11. I figured out what my problem was....
  12. Has anyone attempted to do the Cupcake bib that is in the Crochet Today Sept/Oct issue....I am not sure of what it is that I am doing on the frosting part...it just doesn't make sense to me...if anyone answers back to me that they have worked on this pattern then I will let you know exactly what part I need help on...it actually seems pretty simple but maybe I am just not understanding what they are saying....I will explain more in a later email if someone gets back to me.... www.crochettoday.com/cupcakebibs
  13. Hi, my name is Mary and I live in Rome Ny…was originally thinking about starting just a crochet group but then got to thinking that maybe it could be a craft group where we would have combined talents in one group…I know that there is an established knitting group and I don’t want to interfere with that group but I would like to at least get some crocheters together…I can host right at my home…I do have a finished basement and we wouldn’t have to find somewhere public…and I am willing to let other crafters use my supplies that I do have and you would be willing to pitch in also….I do have a lot of beading/jewelry materials and 2 sewing machines and I also have some cricut materials…I am thinking that it might be fun to mix it up a little and give each other ideas….what do you think about hosting this type of group…any ideas
  14. Free Crochet Pattern 80981AD Endearing Girl's Poncho Lion Brand Yarn Company This is the pattern...it is for a little girl....is the yarn a thick yarn....because that would be the only way I can get that gauge...btw I did go with a different poncho...Poncho Sweater by Kathey Elrod....its on ravelry...I can't copy the link for some reason...
  15. omg...I didn't think that is would be that wide for 7 dc....I know that people say there are no stupid questions but now I do feel really stupid... Thank you for your help....I just thought this was a different kind of gauge....
