  1. Welcome to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida. Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell. We are always so glad to meet new friends.😁
  2. Here is one called the Little Encylopedia of Baby Blankets by Leisure Arts. Maybe what you want is in here. https://leisurearts.com/crochet/the-little-encyclopedia-of-baby-blankets.html If you can remember the cover of the book, check here. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Leisure+Arts+Crochet+Books+Patterns&form=IARSLK&first=1&scenario=ImageBasicHover
  3. This you will have to explain. Do not know that stitch.
  4. Welcome to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida. Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell. We are always so glad to meet new friends.😁 Welcome to both of you.
  5. I am not quite sure yet. I was thinking of trying it on one with fabric paint. I think that would be ok and not come off if something warm or hot is placed on it.
  6. I am curious, is this for a present and a surprise for her? If not talk to her, let her see the kits and maybe she can help you get the one she would like. Now if it is for you, you still need to find out what she can do and what she is comfortable using. Like me, I can not use wool, as it makes me itch. I do hope we have been able to help you somewhat and not confuse you to much. Granny Square I am glad I could help.
  7. I agree with Reni, but it could also be 1 dc in one stitch 1 sc in the next? It is quite dense, but maybe someone else come in and add to the what is this stitch.
  8. Thank you all. I had fun making this. Bobbins are the way to go when doing a graph.
  9. You can also buy a full kit from places like Herrschners. Here is a full page of kits. https://www.herrschners.com/category/herrschners/knit+and+crochet/kits/crochet.do?c%3D5.100059.102262.102268%26amp%3BProjectType%3DBlankets%2B%26amp%3B%2BAfghans%26amp%3Bpp%3D36%26amp%3Bsortby%3DnewArrivalsDescend%26amp%3Bcx%3D0 Alls you have to do is decide on the pattern and the size you want. They give dimentions on the kits. You get everything, but (maybe) the hook. This may be a better way to go.

  11. https://www.e-patternscentral.com/list.html?criteria=ani20&cat_parent_id[]=2 Got an e-mail from e-pattern central this morning and it is 1/2 off animal patterns. Thought you might like to know.
  12. Back home and the lage toe is numb. He had to numb it to make it better. Ingrown toe nail. Here are my placemats. Falling Leaves Have fun today.
  13. I just finished my place mats for November and posted them. Here they are. Falling Leaves. Waiting for a package from Herrschner's for my Christmas (GUH) kits. Have a fun day.
  14. I was looking for a pattern and came across this one in the October 1991 CrochetWorld magazine. It is an easy pattern and great for someone who has never done a graph. Good pratice. I did not put the stems or veins in, as I suck at sewing and I tried but they did not look good. I thought of painting the veins and stems on one of them to see how it looks. Here are the placemats. This pattern also includes napkin rings, pot holders and Coasters.
  15. Good Morning. Off to the foot Dr. this morning. I have to post my place mats yet. I finished them and got pictures. I also made the pot holder that goes with them. If is a fun and easy pattern, especially for someone who has never done a graph. Hope you are all well. Still into to summer weather, except no rain. Have a fun day,

  17. Now that my heart is out of my throat Lea. I am keeping them in my prayers. What a scare. The Princess looks great in her outfit. Still no idea what is going on here. I am ready if they allow it. Take care and hope Kathy and Amelia get better soon. What a scare that was. Time to shut down for the night. Have a good night everyone.
  18. alp1, I got the lecture when I went to Rehab. So it is imprinted into my brain also, but it still does not make sense. You would think you would want it on the side with the hurt leg, but no, it belongs on the other side. We have summer back here. Hazy, Hot and Humid with a chance of rain. Off to see what the world has to offer.
  19. What a cutie and WOW what a prize. That is so cool that you get the calendar.
  20. Love all the Candy Corns Krys. I love the way your display your things. Canes make no sense to me, but I do use one. You are suppose to put them on the opposit side that hurts. My left knee and leg give me trouble, but the cane goes on the right side. It did take a while to get use to it, but like everything else, it takes practice. I understand the walker is steader, as DH uses one most of the time, but I think you have more freedom with a cane. JMO. So finishing up the last place mat, then I will get pictures. Off to make breakfast and then back to my crocheting.
  21. Truthfully you could probable use a size 5 cotton thread. It will frey less than yarn.
