  1. Well, the 3 H's have played havoc on my brain. Today is Sunday, so no sprinkler people till tomorrow. Tuesday is the mulching people. I must stay inside today.
  2. Good morning. Waiting for the sprinkler guy. We have one that has decided to pop off and it gushes everytime the sprinklers are on. We will have him check them all. Tomorrow is someone coming over to give us a price on mulching. I would love to mulch the whole back, then I would only have to have the front cut. Oh well, maybe at another time. Tree people should be here in about 4 to 5 weeks now. I have to fit in the dentist for a cleaning in her some where. Sounds busy, but not really. Nice quite day yesterday till the sun when down, then all the fireworks and firecrackers and such started. See they are legal here. They even set up stores just to sell fireworks and such. Fun time in Florida. Have a great day.
  3. Hi Welcome to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida. Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell. We are always so glad to meet new friends.😁
  4. Here we are on the 4th. A lot different from when I grew up. We lived in a small section of Camden, NJ. We had a WWII memorial in the middle of the town and we always had a big celebration with speeches and a parade. The street I lived on, had a big neighboorhood BBQ in the front yards. The kids ran thru the hose Dad hooked up to the Flag pole and pointed to the ally. We had sparklers and caps. Cap guns, cap sticks and just a hammer and caps. It was always loud and fun. When it would start to get dark, we would pack up chairs and walk to a bridge that crossed over a main road and sit to watch fireworks in 4 different locations. Then we would all go home and finish with the nieghborhood party. Here is my table and tree deducated to our Military and the fun we had as kids.
  5. Up at 6 this morning. 3 H's are making their appearance this morning. Just a drive by to say Hi.
  6. Love the basket and what you started and ran out of plarn for. My bags over here are brown only. We don't get the fancy colored ones. Went out this morning at 8:30 to the store. No lunch meat only cheese and chicken and turkey. No roast beef, cornedbeef or salami. Lots of the shelves are empty. No lysol.
  7. I saw this and jsut cracked up. Thought you could use a chuckle.
  8. Good Morning. Sun is up, but it is hazy and cloudy today. I don't see any blue skys. Today I get my yarn, and hopefully this green will not be so bright. Just wanted to pop in and say Hi!

  10. Good Morning. Ratdog good new about your son. Can't figure out what the heck is going on. Everyone has a different opinion as to whether to open or not for the 4th. Some are even closing the beaches. The big problem is people are tired of being holed up at home. You can see it on the TV reporters and such. Oh well, I am enjoying staying in, as it is to hot to be out there. I have 2 panels done and waiting for my yarn that will be in tomorrow. Time to change the table and tree for July. Have a fun day.
  11. That looks great Judy. The name turned out very cool. They are going to love it.
  12. The Saraha dust seems to be staying away from us, or I just can't see it. I stay indooors this time of year, as the pollen is to bad for me. My nieighbor has a gardinia tree that is in full bloom and as soon as I step outback, the smell hits me. So inside I stay. All you all that are being affected, perhaps this stay at home is a blessing. Kathy, I do hope Handy does not need the rescue inhaller to often, or the treatment. Well, almost done the catcus square. Have fun.
  13. Oh man Lea, thanks for the laugh. It reminded me one day when I got a grocery order delivered, the girl appologized because it was in plastic bags. She said the store ran out of the paper. Do these people not realize that the more paper bags they use, the more trees they cut down? Trees give us oxygen. I can see us now hooks and yarn in hand with our mask of many colors. I can see us on the news asking what we are protesting. I needed the laugh. One of these days I am going to get the T that says, " I crochet so I do not strangel someone." It is a toss between that one and "I may crochet, but my real hobby is collecting yarn." Well, we have lots of clouds, but no rain in sight. I think we have some of that cloud, as they are asking people with allergies and asthma and other lung problems to stay indoors. That is my day and again Lea, thanks for the laugh.
  14. The clock is just beautiful. I can see it now sitting in a pretty pink themed bedroom. The bug is adorable and just cute.
  15. The jacket looks like it is just double crochet. Looks like you add the sleves after the rest is done. I am sure others will come in and maybe give you a better answer.

  17. Yeah, USPolighgirl. I saved that pattern a while ago. Yeah, it is to big, so I found another that is just as nice. Ratdog, glad you had a nice day yesterday. I wish I could work with plarn, but my hands won't allow me. I am getting paid for the llama and blanket. I am just charging my SIL for the yarn. DH asked why I am charging her, just give it to her. I explained that with her paying for the yarn, the gift is really from her. Well, enough fussing, must get back to my crocheting.
  18. Good Morning. Wow Smocking. My Mom use to do that on our dresses when we were little. I wish I had of saved some of them. Ok I do not know what is going on, but I ordered some (sorry) more yaryn yesterday, as the gree I was using is to bright. Anyway, I ordered it yesterday morning and at 2 pm I got an e-mail telling me it is on the way. Now that is fast service. I like the prices on LoveCrafts and the shipping is $4.95. Can't beat that. Well off to get the first cup of coffee and work on my blanket. Have a fun and safe day. Stay healthy.

  20. Actually I guess you could call them sections. They are 70 stitches by 80 rows. Doing them with DK yarn and an F hook. They have a Llama on them. it is like a mini graph ghan. This is the one I am working on now. The other has a cactus and another has a different llama. I will dicide witch one to use with the llama when I have all three done.
  21. I am here. Been working on squares for an baby blanket for my SIL. Her daughter's daughter is going to have a baby in Nov. I think. Anyway, I have to make Llama's as that is her theme. Ratdog, I do hope you had a nice visit. Also, keeping my fingers crossed for you son and his job. I e-mailed Brenda, just waiting to hear back. I will let you know what I hear. Well they gave us an estimate for the trees and it is less than last year, guess cause the trees are smaller than when they cut them last year. Anyway, we are in the que for maybe 5 or 6 weeks. Could be earlier, if they can make room. So one thing off the lest and on to the next. Ordered a pizza, instead of heating up the kitchen. Well, back to my squares. Have fun.
  22. I have had decided to wait till I can go into the store to get my pillows. Thanks anyway Ratdog. I will keep folding mine up. They are talking into the 90's with a feels like of 100 to 112. Heat Advisory warning up. Guess that is why the AC has hardly shut off. Have fun today.
