  1. Not only do I count stitches, I also mark the first stitch or the row, even when it is an afghan. Especially when you are new. It helps to keep you from losing stitches.
  2. Good Morning. Boy Krys I do not miss wearing that stuff in the winter. Nice and warm and pretty. Not much going on today. Up early and just checking things out.
  3. Welcome to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida. Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell. We are always so glad to meet new friends.😁
  4. I have 2 boxes here I just have to get out. I must pack them up so I stop filling them up. Quite day today.
  5. This is what I am working on right now. https://www.herrschners.com/product/herrschners%26%23174-+christmas+wreath+ornaments+yarn+kit.do?sortby=newArrivals&refType=&from=fn I am doing it in the yarn they supply and in thread. I like the smaller thread better. When this is done I have this to do. https://www.herrschners.com/product/village+yarn%26%238482-+gnome+hanging+towels+%26amp-+dishcloths+yarn+kit.do?from=Search&cx=0 Then every year I make one of these. https://www.herrschners.com/product/design+works%26%238482-+summer+lemonade+calendar+felt+%26amp-+sequin+kit.do?sortby=newArrivals&refType=&from=Search The only sewing I willingly do.
  6. Oh pretty gloves. They do look warm. Sorry guys but I do not miss having to wear them My SIL e-mailed me and said she showed the Trump afghan to a friend, who showed it to her Mother who is 92 and has been crocheting FOREVER. She was impressed and wants to see it in person. Just wanted to stop in and say Hi!
  7. Hey glad to see you are back, sorry about the job, cause I remember you saying you could not wait to get back. Sounds like a fun trip to California. I hope the wedding was nice. Not much going on here. Working on some tree ornaments. 1 kit and 2 patterns from the new Crochet World. Just got my weekly order from the grocery store. Waiting for aa batteries so I can light my tree again. Well, off to my corner, as I have lots of parts to the ornaments. Have fun today.
  8. What kind of yarn are you using? I have a problem with wool, so I stay as far away from wool or anthing with wool in it. Have you had testing done on yourself to see what you are alergic to? That could help. Welcome to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida. Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell. We are always so glad to meet new friends.😁
  9. Thank you for this information RubyRed. I will be looking at them today.
  10. I will even accept ones that have the names of the herbs, instead of pictures.
  11. I am looking for a pattern either a full graph or blocks that contain herbs. My sister's granddaughter is getting married next year and she loves to grow and dry her own herbs for cooking. I would love to make a blank for her with herbs on it. Now I am trying to find either blocks with a single herb or a graph with herbs on it. I hope I explained myself right.
  12. You know, you can take any puff stitch blanket pattern and make it all one color.
  13. Up early this morning and chores done. Getting the rain early, but that is ok. Nothing going on. Working on some Christmas stuff. Have a fun day.
  14. Welcome to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida. Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell. We are always so glad to meet new friends.😁 Great pictures and outfits. Love the mask. You will find, we love pictures on here.
  15. Oh Anna, that is so cute. I can't wait to get to that pattern. She has such cute stuff.
  16. Well, I am not sure what you are looking for, but there are a lot of Popcorn/bobble blankets out there. Shady Lane has a ton of them and just googleing them will bring up a lot in Ravelry.
  17. Welcome to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida. Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell. We are always so glad to meet new friends.😁
  18. Here is one called the Little Encylopedia of Baby Blankets by Leisure Arts. Maybe what you want is in here. https://leisurearts.com/crochet/the-little-encyclopedia-of-baby-blankets.html If you can remember the cover of the book, check here. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Leisure+Arts+Crochet+Books+Patterns&form=IARSLK&first=1&scenario=ImageBasicHover
  19. This you will have to explain. Do not know that stitch.
  20. Welcome to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida. Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell. We are always so glad to meet new friends.😁 Welcome to both of you.
  21. I am not quite sure yet. I was thinking of trying it on one with fabric paint. I think that would be ok and not come off if something warm or hot is placed on it.
  22. I am curious, is this for a present and a surprise for her? If not talk to her, let her see the kits and maybe she can help you get the one she would like. Now if it is for you, you still need to find out what she can do and what she is comfortable using. Like me, I can not use wool, as it makes me itch. I do hope we have been able to help you somewhat and not confuse you to much. Granny Square I am glad I could help.
  23. I agree with Reni, but it could also be 1 dc in one stitch 1 sc in the next? It is quite dense, but maybe someone else come in and add to the what is this stitch.
  24. Thank you all. I had fun making this. Bobbins are the way to go when doing a graph.
  25. You can also buy a full kit from places like Herrschners. Here is a full page of kits. https://www.herrschners.com/category/herrschners/knit+and+crochet/kits/crochet.do?c%3D5.100059.102262.102268%26amp%3BProjectType%3DBlankets%2B%26amp%3B%2BAfghans%26amp%3Bpp%3D36%26amp%3Bsortby%3DnewArrivalsDescend%26amp%3Bcx%3D0 Alls you have to do is decide on the pattern and the size you want. They give dimentions on the kits. You get everything, but (maybe) the hook. This may be a better way to go.
