  1. Hello all! This morning I have performed a little forum software upgrade (bug fixes, security fixes). Sorry to pop out of the nowhere! I know there is much to be done here at the forum, and some of you have contacted me... I promise I will get back to you! For the past six weeks I've had my head under the hood of the Crochetville website reviving our NatCroMo Blog Tour, which has been on hiatus for two years. This March the NatCroMo Blog Tour is celebrating National Crochet Month with crochet designer, teacher, and hobbyist interviews and showcases, freebies, coupons, and the occasional giveaway. Not up to speed yet to do the daily NatCroMo giveaway this year. I can't believe it's March 6th already! I'm sorry to not yet have posted on the forum about the blog tour. I know not all of you are on the various social media outlets. I will be back later today or tomorrow to post more!
  2. @USpolishgirl thank you! I didn't realize this the exact same issue you were having. Now I can do the same for @perplexed as I did for you and we'll see if that fixes it.
  3. @perplexed here is the reply from support. Please let me know how this goes.
  4. @perplexed I'm so sorry for the login difficulty you're having! Everything about your profile seems normal in the admin back end, so I'm going to have to submit a support ticket to our forum software provider to sort this out. I'll update as soon as I have more info.
  5. Hurricane Dorian has passed and we are safe. No trees down, no damage, and power was out for only 13 hours. We got by easy on this one.
  6. Oh, I didn't mean that you were saying hurricanes were funny! I was just saying that I got a good laugh out of that too, the way you put it, because the things they say on TV are indeed funny in a ludicrous way. Looks like Dorian may be headed my way now.
  7. Welcome back @Terri/LadySorce!! (((((Hugs))))) right back at ya Thank you! It's good to see you again too! So glad you are back!!
  8. Oh my goodness, Mary Jo! Hurricanes are not funny, but you really gave me a laugh with this one! "I am sure they have it written down somewhere." Thinking of each and every one of you in the path of Dorian and hoping you stay safe.

    Pokemon fans?

I have seen the plain red ones on Etsy, not plain purple tho.
  10. I'm no thread expert. I think someone who knows more than me will come along with an answer. But once I did a thread project with baby blue and black. After completing the project, I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed (the black was bleeding) under lukewarm water until the water ran clear. But my item was not starched. You could try to rinse them thoroughly until all the red comes out and then re-starch them. I don't know if it's too late now that they've bled and dried.

  14. Hi @Michaela, welcome to Crochetville! I'm so glad you've joined us. I learned to crochet at about the same age you did; I was 8 years old. I think freeform crochet is so lovely, but I'm not very good at it. I look forward to seeing some of your projects!
