Those are so sweet! What lovely little dresses, such good work.

@Reni, I can't believe that plastic cabinet is only $16.42 - and yet you found a similar one for about 1/2 the price. Tampa Doll - I love cake yarns but never thought of making my own. I just might do that, seriously - now that I have troubled myself to arrange my many yarns in boxes with dividers! Thanks for mentioning this. With the cake yarns you buy, though, the colours are in such long stretches that you would have to be making a pretty large project (such as a good sized shawl or blanket) to have all the 3 or 4 or 5 colours represented. With home made cake yarns, anything goes and you could end up with a wonderful Mulligan stew.

I like them and the 4 cent shipping, till you read the fine print. Then it is either free shipping or 4 cents shipping, if you spend $39 to $49. Good thing I am trying to keep from buying yarn and such. Hi Evey one. Have a grat day. -

Lea, good to hear that you are hanging in there! Pet peeve: those emails saying 50% off all yarn. You know it says "up to" 50%, but your brain grabs onto the number. And when you look at the sale, nothing you're interested is 50% off. - Last week

I sometimes just get over whelmed when all the chats and checkins, along with cards and letters I get when I am MIa for a bit, makes me feel very loved.... and I thank you all 100% for thinking of me. Honestly, when the "visits" come some days it is what gets me through! Hubs has officially lost sight in his left eye , but his right eye is good, but oh this alpha male of mine just sits... lamenting, silent, barely eating... 3 of the boys had a " come to Jesus " meeting with him over the weekend.. so fr it seems to do some good, baby steps. Saturday was grandson #3 8th birthday, for the next 6 weeks he and his brother are the same age... whew, any how his parents and I took him to the planetarium in Chapel Hill and he loved it! He loves space , history and reading... right up his alley. Still working about 3 days a week for 3 hours, not hard work but sometimes it still wears me out, glad to get out around folks...and I have been doing some things at our senior center., Wish I could get Chris to go, he DID get out and do a run to the dump with a load of junk from the farm. Thanks to Brenda and MJ, I have been decluttering, knowing that the door will soon close on "the farm", chickens are gone, they are such funny creatures , I miss them and the hen fruit, no garden this year unless I do some containers, which I might...Just working on a corner to corner blanket for my brother who has cancer. They removed part of his stomach and liver, same thing happened to my Dad and Uncle, he doctor said despite my ulcerative colitis ( which is under control), I don't have the PMS2 gene that my brother has. I just wanted to pop in and tell ya'll how much I appreciate you, After all these years you know me, if I can't climb over the mountain , or go around it.... I put my head down and plow right through it! HUgs! -

Good morning! Hope everyone is doing ok. Is it a sign of age when you're happy with doing ok instead of expecting doing great? The pool lady came yesterday and uncovered, vacuumed and treated. I added the salt (they don't bring that anymore) and my back is not happy this morning about wresting 40# bags. I'll backwash this morning, throw the vacuum in and hopefully that'll take care of it. Just have to get in the daily mindset to check the pool. I had two grands yesterday--one with a slight fever along with the baby, but it was still a fairly quiet day. Off to the dentist this afternoon for an extraction after two abscesses? in less than 6 months--suspected crack in it. Somehow I didn't hit submit this morning, so I'll add on now. I'm back from the dentist--a quick and painless visit. Hopefully no problems to come. I have official permission to be a couch potato for a couple of days. -

Hi everyone. Finally waking up. Well, I have been up and walking around, but not quite awake. Awful night last night, got maybe 2 hours of sleep. Worst I've had in a long time. Hope everyone is ok. Off to my corner. Have a nice day and night. -

Love your ducky loveys! As far as the battery issues, may be look for those without batteries but they are so cute that the child getting them probably won't care. -

Happy Patriots Day!! Contrary to popular belief this is not a day to celebrate the Boston Marathon. Or as a young PT working with me suggested a day to celebrate our football team. Today is the day the British marched on Lexington and Concord firing the shot heard round the world. (A little school house rock for those who remember.) We still have local reenacters who rise at dawn to march in costume. Thankfully the weather was perfect today, no snow or rain and not too hot. Those costumes are not heat friendly.

Even problem outfits can be saved. This one didn't work out for the larger 10" baby doll but it fit the Lil Cutesies. Lil Cutesies Nightgown -

Brenda, the church must be so happy when they see you coming. Love the bright pink one at the top of the post! Such a delicate pattern. Ha ha, it’s funny how I get all excited about one lovie and you are like “yeah, I made all of these”! I know it’s not fair to compare, but I am counting down the months to my re-retirement. 17 months if all goes as planned. 🤞 Also, my friend made a hat to go with her poncho. She’s having a lot of fun. -

I don’t think I posted a picture of my 2nd duck. I have a slight dilemma. I didn’t notice when I bought it but he has a battery and makes noise. I am worried that in 8 months when these are distributed that the battery will be dead and it will be a disappointment to the recipient. Should I keep my eyes open for a duck without a battery? -

I forgot to mention that I use one of these for my embroidery threads and felt squares. I bought mine at a type of Dollar Store though which cost about half the Walmart price.
